Downtown Los Angeles has yet another fine dining establishment to add to its burgeoning ranks. Located just two blocks from L.A. LIVE and The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, Towne Food & Drink opened last Tuesday, and my wife and I dined there on Saturday.

The service is friendly, professional and attentive; the drinks are inventive and bespoke; the food is eclectic and memorable; and the design and atmosphere are sublimely elegantly casual.  The tuna tartare (seen below) is among the best we’ve had, and the scallops are downright delicious.  We’ll be returning soon.

Towne Food & Drink is owned by Armen Shirvanian (Mi Piace) and executed by a culinary team comprised of Chef Eric Hara (davidburke & donatella, The Oak Room at the Plaza Hotel) and Chef Ryan Morrison (previously Director of Culinary Development for Scott Conant).
