Father, husband, former Olympic skier, shoots-in-the-70s golfer, world traveler and founder/CEO of The Agency. Mauricio Umansky could simply be referred to as “The Man,” and this month he is recognized as just that.
Umansky has been chosen as one of Los Angeles’ ultimate “Modern Men” by Angeleno Magazine, along with five other highly-proficient and cultured professionals.
The magazine assigned each man with their own corporate sponsor in their full-page profile, and appropriately so, Mauricio’s spread is sponsored by Ketel One Vodka, because, as he reveals, “Ketel One on the rocks with olives” is the one drink he can’t live without.
In the interview, Mauricio shares what a typical day is like for him, beginning with a 6am workout to “keep my mind and body sharp” and ending with dinner alongside his wife and kids.
“My routine is very important as it mentally gets me ready for the daily battle, which I love,” says Umansky.

Mauricio, I just heard recently about the Agency. That is has been a dream of yours now fulfilled. I believe in never giving up on your DREAMS. Dream Big and Dare to Dream. So I wanted to just toss you a bit of positivity and say, Right On Brother, Congratulations. You should be very proud. I’m sure you are man. This may sound silly but I’ve seen RHWBH and I respect and have gained some admiration for you and the way you are as a Father. I’m a single Father, with a beautiful brilliant 11year old son. I’m a Professional Photographer Graphic Designer and Fine Artist/Illustratior but over the years and especially with our recent economic climate I’veworn many different hats.I’m a fighter and don’t give up and work hard. I competed at a very high level in Track and Cross. Country during High School, still hold some records so I believe you can achieve anything you visualize, set your mind to and tell yourself out loud. You know what I’m saying. Anyways this isn’t about me. I saw how happy you and your wife were to buy your daughter a car for her 16th birthday. I’m sure your very proud that she earned it and wouldn’t have bought it for her any other way. Family is everything &I hope to someday be able to do that for my son, good grades permitting. You and yours set a good example.I wish you all the best this holiday season and may this next year bring you and your family closer together more success and continued happiness and love in life. Thanks for being you and you’ve given me inspiration.
