What does it take to spend an entire day shopping, dining, and primping like our blogstar pal Gwyneth Paltrow? The Academy-award winning actress, who has homes in London, New York City, and the Hamptons, has chosen Los Angeles as her latest city to feature in her mobile app, goop city guides. Adapted from her weekly online lifestyle journal GOOP.com, the app explores what the self-proclaimed tastemaker deems hip and worth experiencing around Los Angeles.
“Goop readers trust my taste and know that I knew where to find cool stuff. A city guide is a fast and fun way for them to have access to where I actually eat, shop, get a manicure, and hang out,” Paltrow recently told Racked LA.
What began in 2008 as an online journal has become an influential go-to site for recipes, fashion, wellness tips, cultural notes, style advice, and traveling. For those who live in LA. or want to visit, the goop city guide is an extension of the things that Paltrow can’t live without, from favorite restaurants to book stores to health practitioners.
In terms of shopping the best clothing boutiques, we suspect that Gwyneth has a soft spot for West Hollywood. A majority of her recommendations (Milk, Satine, Beckley) fall between Sunset Blvd. and W 3rd Street, all within just a short drive of “The Milano,” where our beautifully designed Mediterranean home (photo above) is currently on the market.
Included in the price ($3.99) of the app are preloaded guides to Los Angeles, New York, and London with more cities on the horizon.
