The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends, Inc. released their 2013 Top 1,000 Real Estate Professionals, and The Agency is proud to announce that three of its agents ranked among the best of the best in the U.S., including CEO and Co-Founder Mauricio Umansky, who was named No. 3 in the country. With a total sales volume of $378,941,197 last year, Umansky was the top-producing real estate broker in California in 2012.
Joining Umansky among the top agents in the country, based on the amount of closed transaction volume, were The Agency President and Co-Founder Billy Rose, who ranked No. 21 in the U.S., with a total sales volume of $192,168,026, and Jordana Leigh, whose $81,430,025 in sales ranked her No. 95 in the U.S.
“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized as the top-producing agent in California and number three in the country, and I’m extremely proud of both Billy and Jordana for distinguishing themselves as two of the top agents in the U.S.,” said Umansky.
“While the WSJ/REAL Trends ranking acknowledges individual accomplishments, everything we do at The Agency is a team effort, and I, along with Billy and Jordana, owe our accomplishments in 2012 to the culture of partnership and collaboration we’ve created. This culture is the soul of our agency, and it will continue to drive our success.”
“I could never have reached these heights without the support of Mauricio and the rest of The Agency team,” noted Rose. “The Wall Street Journal recognition confirms that the manner in which we are representing real estate — from our leading-edge marketing strategies to our culture of partnership — is the new paradigm in our industry. I know that the other agents in our company have similarly experienced a super-charging of their business because of the organizational structure our company employs.”
“The Agency is a warm and welcoming environment that encourages me to succeed everyday and has allowed me to grow in leaps and bounds,” shared Jordana Leigh. “I always feel that Billy and Mauricio have a vested interest in seeing me succeed and that inspires me to work harder. I’m really proud of what The Agency has created.”
Founded in the fall of 2011, The Agency has quickly established itself as one of the premier luxury brokerages in the U.S. In its first year alone, The Agency closed escrow on nearly $750 Million of real estate, placing it in the highest echelon of brokerages in the Beverly Hills/Los Angeles market, notwithstanding that it is only a fraction of the size of other premier agencies. The Agency’s team of top-producing agents averaged more $1 Million+ and $10 Million+ transactions than any other brokerage in the Beverly Hills/Los Angeles market in 2012.
