banksy-kateThe exhibit, titled War, Capitalism & Liberty, is being held in Rome and displays works spanning Banksy’s entire career—many of which have never been presented to the public before. As the largest-ever collection of more than 120 of his works, the museum exhibition explores the social and political issues of our world today through the most controversial urban artist’s works, including sculptures, stencils and other rare objects of artistic expressions.

Banksy is known for his irreverent, anti-establishment and often comical street art. His unique mix of humor and humanity, along with his anonymous persona, has captivated international audiences since the late 1990s. Banksy’s most widely recognized works can be found on schools, trucks, the Bethlehem Wall and other public spaces around the globe, including Australia, England, the United States, Israel, Jamaica and Canada.

The exhibit is open May 24 through September 4 at Palazzo Cipolla in Rome, Italy. War, Capitalism & Liberty is organized by Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Italia e Mediterraneo and curated by Stefano Antonelli, Francesca Mezzano and Acoris Andipa.
