Behind The Gates Of 650 Tachevah Drive

Tucked behind private gates in Palm Springs’ prestigious Movie Colony neighborhood—once the preferred hideaway for golden era greats like Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and Cary Grant—650 Tachevah Drive is a midcentury masterpiece designed with the true entertainer in mind.

Represented by The Agency’s Eric Lavey, Mike Patakas, and Maria Patakas, the 9 bedroom, 12 bathroom home is the largest of its kind in the area. Designed by modernist architectural pioneer Howard Lapham (Thunderbird Country Club, Chi Chi Nightclub, Cook House), it draws inspiration from the flat desert landscape and architectural elements from late 1950s and early 1960s Desert Modernism. Thirteen-foot Moroccan doors open to reveal sprawling living spaces with soaring ceilings, an open chef’s kitchen, multiple living rooms, a voluminous master suite with glass sliders to an indoor pool, a detached two-bedroom guest house, and a large courtyard with a pool and spa.

The Agency recently teamed up with Abode Entertainment to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at this vibrant Palm Springs pad, and trust us when we say you don’t want to miss the tour!
