Bill Simpson

In this position, Simpson spearheaded the acquisition and entitlement processes associated with the company’s Residential and Commercial real estate portfolio. Subsequently, Simpson was recruited to participate in the launch of the Residence Club Division of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Four Seasons’ flagship west coast resort development, part of the Aviara Master Plan development in the San Diego area, remains one of the most successful resorts in the company’s history. Not only was he the highest-producing agent at Aviara, Simpson served as a senior advisor for the future launch of other Four Seasons’ resorts in Jackson Hole , Scottsdale, and Whistler.

Simpson’s success in resort real estate was instrumental in allowing him to establish his own brokerage firm – Simpson and Dellenbach – which focused on residential sales and development in notable areas such as Del Mar, La Jolla, and Rancho Santa Fe. Simpson and Dellenbach was also the lead broker on the sale of the Chileno Bay Club.

Concurrent with the operation of his brokerage firm, Simpson served as Director of Hospitality and Commercial Acquisitions for PRES, a full-service real estate development firm in Newport Beach, CA. In 2007, Simpson led the acquisition of the Vacation Village hotel in Laguna Beach, CA. and 3 large commercial shopping centers in Kona and Lahaina. It was during these transactions that Simpson became a principal of Pono Ranch Partners, LLC, a key entity focused on the acquisition and development of the Hotel Hana-Maui and the Hana Ranch. Simpson merged his brokerage firm with The Harwood Group, a division of Coldwell Banker in Rancho Santa Fe in 2008. In addition to representing the Harwood Group in luxury residential sales, Simpson was successful in solidifying a relationship with WEST Development – a leading development firm focused on the Senior Living real estate sector. This resulted in multiple developments in the Southern California area. He remained in this capacity until 2010 when he was recruited to join Sotheby’s International Realty in Beverly Hills. Prior to joining the Sotheby’s, Simpson served as the Sales Director for EMAAR’s Beverly West Residences, where he was instrumental in overseeing the growth and development of that development. Along with Simpson's wealth of knowledge in real estate sales and development, he's been a member for the past 10 years on the executive board of Challenge Aspen. This charity provides recreational and cultural experiences to individuals with disabilities. He is actively involved in the planning and execution of the charity’s annual golf tournament, by recruiting successful and high-profile business executives from all over the country to participate in this noble and worthy cause. Simpson is very proud to have personally raised over $4 million dollars to help support Challenge Aspen’s mission of bringing positive, life-changing experiences that help foster self-esteem and confidence in people of all ages.
