London-born and raised, Gideon Lang-Laddie brings 20 years of finance and Wall Street experience to The Agency.
Gideon’s numerous years on the trading floor have carried over seamlessly to his career as an agent. Excited by the opportunity to broker a universal commodity—the most sought-after real estate—Gideon’s expert negotiating skills and penchant for cultivating long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike make him perfectly suited for The Agency’s culture of collaboration.
Prior to his career in real estate, Gideon relocated to New York from London in 2000 to work on Wall Street with BNP Paribas, where he sales-traded pan-European equities to US and Canadian institutions, having previously covered asset managers predominantly in Switzerland and England. Over the years, he has worked for several firms in London and New York, including HSBC and Man Financial/MF Global, developing and running global algorithmic equity trading desks and eventually, heading the equity desk as a whole at iCap.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2015, Gideon has been working in the private equity space. Upon the realization that his firm was missing out on key real estate ventures and deals they weren’t set up to handle, he set out to secure his real estate license. Enthusiastically embracing his high-net-worth, local and international connections to ensure that no business opportunity slips between the cracks, Gideon coalesces his unique finance background and passion for real estate to serve clients across Los Angeles.
A graduate of the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, Gideon is a classic car enthusiast and avid follower of Formula 1, as well as a keen fencer, fly fisherman, and fitness and wine enthusiast. In 2009, he founded his own charity organization, which seeks to raise funds for and awareness of prostate cancer research.
