Max Nelson

Max Nelson has worked successfully for the past thirteen years representing buyers and sellers in the market of architecturally significant homes, historic estates and design-centric properties.

Max boasts a keen understanding of contract language, powerful negotiating skills and a well-honed craft of identifying a property’s assets, liabilities and potential upside regardless of location and price point. His distinctive philosophy and approach are defined by a firm and clear understanding of his clients’ needs and the creation of a strategy that enables him to meet their goals. He has extensive experience with both seven and eight figure negotiations, along with a skill set that makes him a natural match for high-net-worth clients with equally high expectations and standards. His repeat clientele are a testament to his success; approximately 70% of Max’s practice, which was started from scratch, consists of repeat clients.

When it comes to representing sellers in multiple areas of the city, Max relies on his tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, as well as his vast network of real estate professionals. Spanning 85 different countries, his wide-reaching connections ensure the global reach that may be required in the successful marketing and advertising of certain homes.

Max’s representation of buyers revolves around his unique approach to their property search coupled with his extensive network of influential brokers, which enables him to creatively locate properties not on the market and put off-market deals together. In fact, nearly 50% of the transactions Max represented last year were properties that were not actively listed. He is on the cutting-edge of the fast-paced luxury market here in L.A.

A regularly quoted expert for the Los Angeles Times, Max was recently featured in a series of interviews dealing with celebrity real estate the city. His client base consists of architects, designers, hedge fund managers, professional athletes and a wide range of show business professionals.

Max is an alumnus of Webb, the nationally ranked boarding school located in Claremont, CA, and earned his BA from Davidson College, a top 10 liberal arts school known for its honor code and academic excellence.
