Fabrik Magazine Hosts Reception for Glen Wexler at The Steel Wexler

Posted on Monday, February 26, 2018.

On the heels of six sold-out marquee home tours during Modernism Week, Fabrik Magazine teamed up with listing agents Marc Sanders and Eric Lavey for a twilight soiree celebrating art and architecture at The Steel Wexler.

The last Donald Wexler-designed home ever built, the newly constructed Palm Springs residence is built entirely from steel and fuses contemporary architectural vision with modern technology and iconic midcentury design.  A testament to true architectural simplicity, the three-bedroom, three-bath home elegantly pairs the practicality of Wexler’s design philosophy while showcasing picturesque desert views of the surrounding mountains beyond a large swimming pool, tucked behind a row of gently swaying palms.

Set to make its market debut in the coming weeks, the home features an array of artworks graciously on loan from Donald Wexler’s son, Glen Wexler—an accomplished artist known for his imaginative photo illustrations for the likes of Michael Jackson, Van Halen and Black Sabbath—along with pieces by Cybele Rowe, Paul Ecke, Tom Burns and James Shilaimon.

The Agency was proud to serve as an official sponsor of Modernism Week, which drew thousands to the modernist desert mecca for an eclectic, 10-day lineup of home tours and events.
