The Agency Agenda Arizona: What to Do + Where to Go this October

by | Oct 2, 2019

Our picks of places to go and things to do to make the most of your month in and around Arizona.

GET TOASTY HERE – The Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake October 11-13 is an awesome autumnal celebration with lederhosen-wearing attendees, live music, carnival rides, wiener dog races and plenty of bratwurst and beer—it comes highly recommended by Scottsdale office agent Jamie Harvey.

HAVE A HAPPY HALLOWEEN HERE – This is a unique Halloween celebration perfect for the whole family. Stop by the Salt River Fields on Friday, October 25 where, from 5:00pm to 9:30pm, more than 20 hot air balloons are on display—tethered rides will be offered too. Plus, there will be live music, a costume contest and a free kids play area with dozens of inflatable slides. Throughout the evening, more than 4,000 pounds of candy will be handed out to Trick-or-Treaters. Don’t leave before the fireworks show!

SEE FALL FASHIONS HERE – Need some fall wardrobe inspo? Check out creations from 25 local designers at Phoenix Fashion Week, October 3-5 at Talking Stick Resort, 25 minutes outside Phoenix. From avant guard to ready-to-wear, there’s something to suit every style.

GET YOUR CANDY FIX HERE – On Saturday, October 26 from 5 to 9pm, take to the Eldorado ballfields with the kids for the 50th Annual Fall Festival. Explore the spooky Haunted Forest, win candy at the game booths and try your luck at one of the event’s many costume contests.

SCARE YOURSELF HERE – Just 20 minutes north of Phoenix is the 13th Floor Haunted House, a nationally notorious spot designed to scare you silly. While its not a great activity for kids under 12, all other brave souls are welcome.

WINE SERVED HERE – Claim your complimentary glass of wine at this event, hosted on October 19 by LDV Winery on the Scottsdale Waterfront. Come when it kicks off at 11am and enjoy live music all day as well as tastings, food and wine pairing seminars, grape stomping  and a gourmet lunch—local agent Adrian Heyman is a longtime fan of the annual affair.
