Action Stars: The Agency Goes Over The Edge To Fight Homelessness

by | Oct 12, 2021

Always looking to take philanthropic efforts to new heights, The Agency partnered again with the Los Angeles Rescue Mission for the annual Over the Edge fundraising event on Friday, October 1. A dozen of our team members—each having to raise at least $1,000 over the past few months—bravely rappelled from the roof of the Hilton hotel in Universal City to support people experiencing homelessness and help transition them to a brighter future.

The Agency put together a leading fundraising team, including CEO and Founder Mauricio Umansky, Andrea Caruso, Makenzie Green, Gus RuelasAbby Nava, Emilee Sutherland, Kit Landry, Jacqueline Bradly, Jeromy Robert, Laura Law, Brandon Graves and Carolyn McMorran, who raised more than $21,000 for the cause. Partners from Giveback Homes cheered everyone on from the ground.

All in all, the event raised $1,122,855 for the organization, which will go toward Union Rescue Mission in Downtown Los Angeles, the Hope Gardens Family Center in Sylmar and a future site at Angeles House, which they hope to open later this year. These sites play a significant role in transforming the lives of those who come seeking help, providing adults and children with shelter, food and clothing. In 2020 alone, they took in 6,382 people and distributed 909,439 meals.
