The team at Ventura Blvd Magazine recently called upon Andre Warren as one of their expert panelists for a discussion with the publication’s editor and fellow local leaders and community members regarding the economic impact of COVID-19 in the San Fernando Valley. Weighing in on the topic of the real estate market in the region, Andre noted that people are looking to create sanctuaries where they feel safe and to find a home that has outdoor space. “In addition, there’s been a real uptick in searches in the suburbs. Gaby Digiuseppe is giving back to the local Cabo community, working with the Community Alliance of Baja California Sur to help those in need during the pandemic. The non-profit is a coalition of local citizens, public and private entities providing vital medical supplies, food and more. The Agency Pasadena’s Lisa Ashworth recently debuted this one-of-a-kind Hacienda originally built in 1936. The original owners of 3629 San Pasqual Street, or “La Quinta Tranquilla,” gave their architect inspired instructions to visualize the living room as part of a historic, California mission and to design the courtyard arches to be like those at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, among other requests. Palm Desert
Tamara Baron of The Agency Palm Desert has dedicated her time and efforts over recent years to two organizations, American Friends of Our Armed Forces (AFAF) and Childhelp. She currently serves as a member of the AFAF board, working to support the U.S. Marines, including the Adopt A Marine program. For the past 12 Thanksgivings, AFAF has provided chartered busses for 400 marines at the 29 Palms Marine Base to join families throughout nine Coachella Valley country clubs for a day of thanks, great food, family revelry and games. This year, due to COVID they are unable to bring the Marines “home” to the Valley. They are now implementing a new plan to bring Thanksgiving to the Base.
Tamara also serves on the Board of the Indian Wells Chapter of Childhelp, which is committed to 24-hour-a-day treatment of abused, neglected and at-risk children. Due to the pandemic, Tamara says raising money for these organizations has been curtailed by the inability to host events. Taso Tsakos and Mauricio Umansky are celebrating the record-breaking sale of 7 Country Oak Lane, a majestic, 21-acre estate in the Alamo countryside. The ten-bed, 22-bath architectural masterpiece sold for $19 million, the highest residential sale on record in Contra Costa County. The property was on the market for 3.5 years, before Taso and Mauricio received the listing, selling the estate within 45 days. All proceeds from the sale went to the animal nonprofit Maddie’s Fund, a family foundation dedicated to revolutionizing the status and well-being of companion animals.

When asked if he ever had to clean up a home before a showing, Steve told how he had to urgently clean a Fort Lauderdale condo for a photo shoot, from clearing stacks of papers and workout equipment to putting away groceries and moving furniture.
