Alex Weil joins The Agency Beverly Hills after a two-decade career as a hospitality, operations, and wine expert in the retail and restaurant industries. By putting his guests and clients first and offering a wide range of expertise, Alex has gained the trust of thousands of guests and clients. Known as a friendly, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable resource, he strives to demystify the real estate process for his clients, making a complicated transaction feel simple.
Raised in West Los Angeles, Alex brings a lifelong passion for the architecture, neighborhoods, and history of the area. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in art history and a minor in business administration and began his career at world-renowned Wally’s Wine and Spirits, starting as a cashier and rising through the ranks of upper management, eventually overseeing all European imports. He went on to spend a decade managing beverage programs and working as a sommelier for Michelin-starred chefs, such as Thomas Keller and Nancy Silverton. As the wine director for Osteria Mozza, he helped award-winning L.A. restaurant win Angeleno magazine’s “Outstanding Wine Program” honors in just its second year of business.
By leveraging his sales, organizational, and relationship-building skills, Alex moved into the world of private wine retail, working as a consultant to high net-worth individuals looking to build and manage wine collections. During this time, Alex and his team executed $9M worth of wine and spirits sales annually while managing events for Midas List, Fortune 500, and Forbes 400 individuals and companies worldwide.
When he’s not assisting his clients, Alex spends his time trying to keep up with his three children (including twin daughters), cooking, hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains, golfing, studying Los Angeles history, and viewing classic movies.
