Ashley Peterson

A longtime San Diego resident with more than a decade of experience in the local real estate market, Ashley Peterson is a highly knowledgeable guide for buyers, sellers and investors alike. Part of The Agency La Jolla, Ashley’s areas of expertise span the region, encompassing downtown San Diego, Del Mar, La Jolla and Carmel Valley.

A dedicated listener and creative, out-of-the-box marketer and problem-solver, Ashley excels in coaching her clients through the buying and selling process. Known for her level-headed reasoning, astute market assessments and refreshingly “un-salesy” approach, Ashley is a trusted advisor among clients. She has earned an exceptional reputation, consistent referral business and built a far-reaching network of industry contacts.

“I’ve been around long enough to know what buyers and sellers should and shouldn’t do when it comes to residential real estate,” says Ashley. “I’ve built relationships with other agents, lenders, escrow agents, title reps and the best vendors. I keep myself abreast of current laws, propositions, tax implications and creative mortgage practices—anything that may benefit my clients.” Ashley’s keen eye for design and staging expertise further elevate her innovative marketing techniques and consistently position her clients' listings in their best light.

Ashley achieved a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Florida State University and holds a Master's Degree in Education from Concordia University in Irvine. Prior to real estate, she taught elementary education, a role that prepared her well for a career as an agent. “As an educator, I perfected my ability to deliver information in a straightforward, succinct way that helped students make smart decisions,” says Ashley. “As an agent, I guide, inform and coach the same way.” She also continues to teach real estate at the community college level.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys being with her husband and young son and can often be found hiking or hanging out at the beach. Ashley also revels in taking on new DIY home projects. An active community member, Ashley serves as a PTA and committee member at Solana Highlands Elementary School, is a member of the Solana Beach School District Independent Citizens Oversight Committee and volunteers with local animal rescues. She is also a member of Surfrider San Diego, the San Diego Zoo and Birch Aquarium and supports Helping Empower Community Refugees, which provides residences for incoming refugees.
