Barrie Livingstone

An accomplished Malibu-based realtor and interior designer, Barrie brings 30 years of experience in the residential and hospitality industries to The Agency.

Born in Manchester, England, Barrie’s design projects span the globe from Los Angeles to Dubai. His passion for architecture and pairing the right property with the right person or group has been the driving force behind his approach to real estate and design. Leveraging his extensive experience as an interior designer with his expert negotiating skills and market knowledge, Barrie offers clients valuable insight into how to present their properties in the best possible light, as well as an unmatched perspective on a home’s upside potential for prospective buyers.

Barrie moved to the U.S. from England in 1982. He earned his B.S. in Interior Design and graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before attending Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (GSD) and High Point University. Over his more than three decades in the interior design and hospitality industries, Barrie has designed for such international hotel brands as Intercontinental Hotel Group, Marriott, Southern Sun and Mandarin Oriental. He is the author of the book Interior Design Tips Every Realtor Should Know, But Doesn’t.

An avid gardener, when he’s not assisting clients with their real estate and design needs, Barrie can be found tending to his rooftop garden in Malibu. He also serves on the board of the prestigious Malibu Road Association and donates his time to Los Angeles Food Bank and Chabad of Malibu.
