John McCann

A licensed realtor for over 20 years, John McCann has independently sold nearly half a billion dollars in real estate. Born in Hawaii and raised in Southern California, he launched his full-time real estate career in Boston in 1995 and quickly became one of the city’s top-producing agents.

Despite his early success on the East Coast, John had always dreamed of living in the Virgin Islands, and in 2001 he turned that dream into a reality when he moved to St. John. For the next ten years, he continued practicing real estate across the Virgin Islands, opening his own office, John McCann & Associates Real Estate, and earning the accolade of “#1 Real Estate Sales Agent on St. John.” Along the way, he made his first appearance on HGTV’s House Hunters International (his episode was named the #1 International Destination for 2009), and appeared on several subsequent episodes in 2012 and 2013.

John’s tenure overseas left him with a host of industry experience and a diverse network of buyers, sellers and investors around the world. He joined The Agency at the beginning of 2014, representing clients from San Diego to San Francisco, with a focus on West Hollywood, Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Recently named a Modern Man in Angeleno Magazine, he counts everyone from first-time homebuyers to multi-million dollar, fourth-home buyers as clients. From single-family residences, condominiums and multifamily properties to new developments, he brings integrity, commitment and a reputation for exceeding client expectations to every transaction. For John, real estate is about building relationships that outlast the close of escrow.

In addition to serving as an agent for a diverse and distinguished clientele, John actively invests in real estate locally and internationally, from his home base of West Hollywood to Hawaii and the Virgin Islands. When he’s not listing and selling properties, he enjoys living the L.A. lifestyle, including time with friends and family, hiking with his dog, staying active, sampling new restaurants, the arts and downtime at the beach.
