Representing clients across the East Bay since 1988, Linda Cookson brings knowledge, creativity, and a track record that is among the best in the industry to The Agency’s Danville office.
Working in partnership with her husband, Frank Cookson, Linda is enthusiastic and passionate about helping her clients achieve their real estate goals in the community she knows and loves. A clear communicator, expert negotiator, and natural problem solver, Linda is deeply involved in every aspect of the home-buying and selling process, serving as a patient and knowledgeable guide through every step of a transaction. Recognizing that each client and situation is unique, Linda and Frank tailor their approach to best suit their clients’ individual needs. Leveraging their vast local knowledge, tech savvy and design expertise with an expansive network of real estate professionals across the East Bay and beyond, Linda and Frank are committed to building long-term client relationships based on loyalty, trust and confidentiality. With over $300 million in residential real estate sales and a reputation for selling their listings nearly twice as fast—and at a higher premium—than the MLS average, they are proud to attribute 90% of their business to past clients and their trusted referrals.
Contra Costa County residents since 1976, Linda and Frank’s expertise is vast and all-encompassing: from knowledge about property values and neighborhoods to local schools, shopping and recreation, they are proud to serve as East Bay experts while resonating quality, integrity and professionalism in all facets of their work. Prior to joining The Agency, Linda was a Founding Partner and Broker Associate at Empire Realty and later served on the brokerage’s Board of Directors. Before her career in real estate, Linda spent nearly a decade as a Licensed Landscape Architect with David Gates & Associates in Danville. Her background in interior and landscape design has given her a keen eye for transforming a property and knack for telling a home’s story when preparing it for market. Complementing Frank’s background in finance, Linda’s creative prowess has proven invaluable to buyers and sellers, providing a unique and dynamic client experience, while her impeccable organization and sharp attention to detail are second to none.
In her time outside of real estate, Linda enjoys renovation projects, gardening, cooking, travel, ballroom dancing and spending time with family and friends. She proudly supports Habitat for Humanity and Save Mt. Diablo. Linda holds a BS in Landscape Architecture from University of California, Berkeley.
