Matt Klein is The Agency’s Director, Residential Division, who has earned the respect and confidence of his extensive list of clients and colleagues throughout his real estate career. An expert negotiator, Matt has closed numerous transactions that have set price records in both the Brentwood and Westwood markets. He is known throughout the industry for representing his clients with passion and dedication, values honed from his past experience in the sports industry, where he was both an athlete and an agent.
While earning his degree at UCLA, Matt played for the Bruins’ 1997 College World Series baseball team and upon graduation, signed a professional baseball contract with the Oakland A’s. When his playing days were over, he went on to represent professional athletes in contract negotiations and endorsement deals for more than a decade, sharpening his business and negotiation skills and preparing him for a career in real estate. His background in sports and real estate combined to form a perfect marriage as Matt has represented numerous athletes, entertainers, and celebrities in their real estate transactions.
Matt's clients appreciate his hands-on approach and ability to understand and relate to their needs and the needs of their families, ensuring a smooth and successful transaction process. Prior to joining The Agency, Matt spent five years at Berkshire Hathaway in Brentwood, as a key member of the team that included Danny Brown, who is now Partner at The Agency. Well versed on L.A.’s vast luxury landscape, Matt specializes in the Brentwood, Westwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades and Beverly Hills markets. He remains an active member of the UCLA Alumni Association and the Bruin Varsity Club and resides in Westwood with his wife and children.
