With an impressive background in intelligence services with the U.S. Military and significant experience at top pharmaceutical firms and lending companies, Michelle Torretta comes to The Agency’s Alamo office with a highly focused approach distinguished by her strong ability to solve a range of complex problems, connect with clients and deliver results.
Having called Northern California home for more than 20 years, Michelle provides her clients with a wealth of in-depth local knowledge, specializing in regions including Livermore, Martinez, Alamo and Danville. “I never give up until my clients have achieved what they want for the best value I can get them,” she says. “And I make it as pleasant an experience as possible along the way.” Michelle’s long list of happy clients and strong referral business speak to her success in the industry. In 2018, Michelle earned the Top Agent Network, Top 10% of Production in Contra Costa County distinction and was named a leading sales agent in 2018 and 2019.
A native of Manchester, Connecticut, Michelle graduated from the United State's Department of Defense's Research Institution, The Defense Language Institute and reported to the National Security Agency as a Russian Cryptologic Linguist for which she was awarded a Joint Services Commendation Medal by the USAF. She later worked as an Account Manager at the pharmaceutical company, Eli Lily, and then as a loan agent for Diversified Capital as an in-house lender at J Rockcliff Realtors.
Her experience at J Rockcliff marked Michelle’s initial exposure to real estate—she worked closely with buyer's agents, the offer process, purchase contracts and home loans. “I found very quickly that my passion for the real estate industry was much stronger than what I had felt with any past careers,” Michelle notes. “So got my real estate license and never looked back.”
Since then, Michelle has continued to advance her diverse knowledge base with highly reputable companies, including Oracle, where she served as an Account Manager in Business Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
“Serving in military intelligence, as well as a few large corporations such as Oracle and Eli Lilly, has strengthened my ability to adapt to the needs of a vast array of clients and fellow agents,” says Michelle.
In her free time, Michelle devotes time to Pledge to Humanity, which empowers children and young adults to volunteer in efforts that improve the quality of life for people in need through local and global initiatives. Michelle routinely donates $250 from every closed escrow to this organization. She also enjoys hiking, traveling, learning Spanish and oil painting.
