by | Jun 4, 2012

Restaurateur and wealth manager Kerry Moy has joined the growing number of executives and entrepreneurs who now call Downtown Los Angeles home. Moy, who has 11 restaurants in Southern California, including Wokano and the Green Hut Cafe in Downtown L.A., has purchased a one-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a den at The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE, the five-star luxury residential tower where residents are pampered 24-hours a day by the legendary Ritz-Carlton Hotel services.

As the L.A. Times reports, the 1,303-square-foot residence “takes in views of the swimming pool, the downtown skyline and L.A. Live.” Moy, who, in addition to being a restaurateur, is VP of Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills, says the home is fast becoming his primary residence as he gets ready to open Leka at 6th St. and Flower St.

“I never would have thought of moving downtown until I saw the growth that is forecasted,” Moy told the L.A. Times. “The potential here is just huge.”

Indeed, the growth potential in Downtown L.A. is huge, and currently, it is in overdrive. For more on developments in Downtown L.A., read Mauricio Umansky’s article “Back to the Future: Transforming Downtown L.A.
