Is The Ozzie and Harriet House Haunted?

by | Oct 29, 2013

Locked doors unlock and open without explanation, bed sheets soar off sleeping guests and a strong rose-scented fragrance wafts through the house seemingly out of nowhere. These are a few of the spooky things that happen at the so-called Ozzie and Harriet House in Hollywood Hills West (1822 Camino Palmero Street), which The Agency recently sold this past June.

Lauren Beale of the LA Times features the house in today’s Money & Co. column. As Beale notes, the home, which was once owned by Ozzie and Harriet Nelson, doubled as a set for “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” television show in the 1950s and ‘60s. The house also served as Ari Gold’s home on HBO’s hit show “Entourage.” The Agency’s Billy Rose has now sold the home three different times with the seller, each time, claiming it was haunted.

“I would always make a disclosure that there was a legend that the house was haunted,” Rose said, to avoid the unnerving experience of a disgruntled client.

One buyer, Beale reports, even had a paranormal specialist investigate the house to see if the resident ghosts approved of the new homeowners.
