The sale of 8455 Oakwood Avenue last month for $4.350 million sets a new record for home prices in the area due east of the Beverly Center – but it also demonstrates a unique, innovative approach to marketing real estate.
Listing agents Paul Lester and Aileen Comora paired with the in-housing creative and PR team at The Agency to create a cutting-edge, sophisticated strategy for marketing the home. From events to final sale, the team provided a lifestyle experience that involved the collective effort of advertising team, content marketing team, agents, buyers, developers and the local community to drum up attention and create unique experiences. They wanted something that resonated with the public by hosting events, using creative media that interweaves with the property and the community, and that both reflects a lifestyle and creates a lifestyle.
This effort involved creating a private website (in addition to The Agency website), a video featuring both internal footage and drone helicopter video, a custom brochure (print & digital), and high-end community event marketing.
For this last stage, Paul and Aileen reached out to a fixture of the neighborhood, the gourmet French-Mediterranean restaurant, Lucques. Together, Lucques and The Agency threw an invite-only party for the stunning new architectural in late January.
The “Oakwood at Alfred” house, as it became called, sits on a large corner lot and sets a new standard for volume and quality of craftsmanship for the neighborhood. Enjoying gourmet hors d’oeuvres, VIP guests roamed the home, admiring the sophisticated finishes and the unique angles, windows, 30 ft. ceilings and proportions that are reminiscent of Modernist architecture throughout Los Angeles. It was a night to be remembered and another example of how The Agency is using teamwork and innovative means to deliver emotional experiences and memorable events in the service of real estate.
Coupled with Aileen and Pauls’ 2013 record-setting sale of 414 N. Alfred, the neighborhood surrounding “Oakwood at Alfred” is currently experiencing a significant rise in value. “Thanks to its proximity to so much world-class dining, shopping and culture in West Hollywood, the future of this neighborhood is very bright,” notes Paul Lester.
