by | Mar 26, 2014

Our newest listing in the coveted “Bird Streets,” a stunning contemporary architectural perched on celebrity-studded Oriole Way, is the featured home in the latest “Private Properties” column of the Wall Street Journal.

As the WSJ notes,  9133 Oriole Way is a true designer home that comes “fully stocked—down to the towels, soap and even toothbrushes,” along with all furniture, most of which was custom-made by the very best European manufacturers for the nearly 13,000 square foot home. The asking price for the exquisitely designed, ready to move-in, entertain and enjoy home is $38 Million.

The owner, Sean Sassounian, spared no expense in designing 9133 Oriole Way to be the ultimate home for enjoying the California lifestyle. Working closely with top design firms, Sassounian meticulously curated every detail, from custom lighting by Foscarni to boutique-like closets by Molteni to the art in the house, featuring notable artists from California.

When asked by the WSJ why he went to such extremes, Mr. Sassounian said he wanted to use pieces “consistent with the lifestyle of the eventual buyer.”

“Staging is very generic,” he said. “I didn’t think it would convey the right image.”
