LA’s 15 Most Anticipated Spring And Summer Openings

by | Apr 22, 2014

We all love returning to our tried and true favorites, but once you hear the latest cartel of restaurants coming to Los Angeles, you may have to reconsider your next saturday night reservation. The popular foodie blog Eater LA recently dished out the “15 Most Anticipated Spring and Summer Openings” and we can’t wait to try them all.

Mid-city folk will get their “seaside shack” fix once the second Blue Plate Oysterette location opens on West Third Street while smoke.oil.salt. on Melrose promises to be a wine-centric establishment serving Spanish fare via robust tapas.

Looking at the line-up of coming attractions, it seems that Downtown LA is luring the most restaurateurs with four new spots including Beelman’s Pub, Wexler’s Deli, Kazunori, and ChocoChicken which, yes, will be just like it sounds. Their chocolate fried chicken hybrid, first developed by chef Keith Previte and film and television producer Sean Robbins, involves steeping chicken in a marinade that includes chocolate, dredging it in flour and chocolate mixture and seasoning it with a spice rub. Move over, waffles.
