2014 Monaco Yacht Show Features World’s Most Luxurious Superyachts

by | Sep 24, 2014

Many of the most beautiful superyachts in the world will be showcased this week in one of the world’s most picturesque settings – at the Monaco Yacht Show in Port Hercules, Monaco. The annual event runs September 24 – 27 and is accompanied by gourmet food, festivities, exclusive client cocktail gatherings, and of course, the newest and greatest luxury yachts on the market.

More than 110 superyachts will be on display this year by top companies such as Feadship, Heesen and Azimut Benetti. Brokerages are teaming up with other luxury brands to provide unique ultra-exclusive events and services for those wishing to see their vessels. Premier yacht brokerage Burgess, for example, will be transporting clients to and from the show in a fleet of Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé, Wraith and Ghost limousines. It’s an extravagant touch but the type of high level service you can expect from an operation like Burgess, who will have more superyachts exhibited than any other brokerage house.

Notably, Burgess will be displaying the largest yacht in the show, at 280 feet: the much-talked about CAKEWALK. The yacht’s
asking price? $152,682,000.

phoca_thumb_l_burgess_yachts-cakewalkCAKEWALK is described as a “jaw-dropping megayacht [that] has it all: a private owner’s deck, expansive exterior decks, guest elevator connecting all levels and a climate-controlled full beam tender garage.” You might say only a prince could afford such a boat – and every year at MYS, there are usually more than a few princes on hand.

Daily admission is EUR 150.
