Community Inspires The Spirit Of Giving At The Agency

by | Dec 18, 2015

The holidays are a time of generosity, reflection and looking forward to the year ahead. Ever-committed to supporting charitable endeavors, The Agency team is firmly dedicated to investing in our local community and beyond.

“The Agency is honored to align with reputable non-profit organizations that are driven by empathy and compassion,” said Billy Rose, President and Co-founder of The Agency. “There are infinite opportunities to do good and each one of us can make a difference by merely finding a charity that we connect with and acting with our hearts and means.”

We’ve curated a list of our efforts over the last year and encourage you to consider extending support before 2015 comes to an end and in the New Year.

Giveback Homes Partnership

The Agency was the first real estate brokerage to join Giveback Homes, an organization dedicated to building homes for families that in many cases, have never turned a key in a home of their own. As a global partner, The Agency and its team of top-producing agents are building a strong foundation for philanthropy in real estate through various events throughout the year.

Two such events were “Build Days.” The Agency joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to put finishing touches on the Lopez home in Compton, CA and the Lowery home in the neighborhood of Watts in Los Angeles. Also helping in the efforts were The Agency’s Million Dollar Listing Stars, James Harris and David Parnes, Billy RoseMauricio Umansky, the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Giveback Homes Founder, Blake Andrews.

The Agency also hosted a rocking, inspirational charity ride at SoulCycle Beverly Hills benefiting Giveback Homes. The event, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, raised more than $12,000 to build a house for a family in Los Angeles. (Details here).

The Agency Goes Green

The Agency is making a commitment to sustainability across the entire company, including partnerships with the city of Beverly Hills Recycling Division and Tesla Motors. The Agency also sponsored eight farmer’s markets across Los Angeles as part of our “Farmer’s Market Outreach.”

Beach Clean Up

Volunteers from The Agency, along with friends and family, worked together to clean up the Malibu shoreline. They walked up the Pacific Coast Highway to Mailbu Pier and picked up some local volunteers along the way.

The Lange Foundation

The Lange Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Southern California dedicated to saving impounded companion animals and preparing them for their journey to a new, safe, and loving world. The Agency hosted the Pussy & Pooch pop up shop in which all proceeds are donated to The Lange Foundation.

The Amanda Foundation

The Amanda Foundation, the only non-profit animal charity in the L.A. area to own and operate a full-service veterinary practice, keeps orphans under a doctor’s care from the moment they’re rescued. The foundation also provides The Agency Creative team with a work day de-stresser, allowing volunteers to walk the dogs since they’re our neighbors in Beverly Hills.

Movember

For the third year in a row, in conjunction with The Movember Foundation, a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier longer lives, the men and women of The Agency committed to supporting men’s health and raising funds and awareness throughout the month.

PS Arts

The Agency supported the 2015 annual P.S. ARTS fundraiser, “Express Yourself.”  Dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing high-quality arts education to California’s underserved public schools and communities, the annual event is their largest fundraiser of the year giving 1,500 adults and children an opportunity to experience the joy and creativity that nearly 25,000 students discover every day in California’s P.S. classrooms.

The Women of the Agency

The Women of the Agency was founded to support The Agency’s commitment to integrity, collaboration, innovation and philanthropy. The organization is committed to personal and professional development and seeks to develop camaraderie through strategic initiatives that strengthen women individually, as an organization, and as part of a global community. The Women of the Agency is focused on supporting Women Like Us, an organization dedicated to supporting women led causes in communities across the world through fundraising, volunteering and creating awareness.

For a complete list of our 2015 endeavors, look forward to our Year End Report set to be released in Q1 of 2016.
