SPEND YOUR WEEKEND HERE → Head to Palm Springs for Modernism Week Feb. 11 – 21. The annual event attracts Mid-century modern architecture buffs from all over to celebrate the design aesthetic. Special events include the Palm Springs Modernism Show at the Convention Center, a presentation on design movements of the 20th century by national and international decorative and fine art dealers, Frey II house tours, double decker bus tours and other special events.

GO SEE THIS → Alessia Cara at the El Rey Theatre on Feb. 12. The 19-year-old Canadian singer/songwriter is topping the charts with her hit “Here”.  Her deeply personal brand of R&B pop scored her a deal with Def Jam, and she is poised for big things in 2016 with a slot at Coachella and her first ever headlining tour. Alessia delivers a powerful live performance with compelling vocals and a stage presence beyond her years.

Give your valentine the ultimate experience with live dancers, magicians, circus acts, bands and DJs before Baz Luhrmann’s spectacular film musical. DON’T MISS THIS → The Los Angeles Marathon on Feb. 14. Whether you are running or merely a spectator, the scenic course (26.2 miles) begins at Dodger Stadium and finishes at the Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy the Finish Festival, with the Angel City Brewery beer garden, food, live entertainment and more.
