Everything You Need To Know About This Year’s Coachella

Hippie twenty-somethings flocking the stages down in the desert with Instagram selfies at the ready, right?

Forget what you’ve heard about Coachella.

This year’s two-weekend music festival is bringing out the best of Southern California’s music, art and food scenes. Weekend one goes from April 15-17 and weekend two stretches from April 22-24. Each weekend has three days full of things to do, with amazing art installations, dinners from top chefs and music from every genre.

LCD Soundsystem kicks things off both Fridays in addition to Ellie Goulding, Of Monsters and Men and Joey BadA$$, not to mention the 40+ bands and musicians sharing the stages that day (and over 150 music acts during the entire weekends). Both Saturdays get even better with Guns N’ Roses, Halsey, Ice Cube and Gary Clark Jr. as part of their lineup. The last day of each weekend doesn’t disappoint either, with Sia, Calvin Harris and Matt and Kim rolling out one incredible ending to a plethora of musical spectacles.

Art also plays a huge role in the festival, too, and its several art installations are a must-see while you’re there. Check out The Date Farmers, a creative duo whose art pieces are influenced by their Mexican-American heritage and ever-changing California pop culture. Or, if you’re wanting something a little more interactive, check out Do Lab, a creative experience that blends feel good vibes and transformative experiences in to one heck of a good time.

Coachella’s food game is not to be remissed. Featured spots like Beer Barn and Rose Garden take fresh ingredients and spin them in to delicious bites that you’ll be heading back to again. For VIP Coachella ticket-holders, pop-up restaurants like downtown’s Pok Pok LA and The Line Hotel’s Commissary are the perfect way to unwind for an hour or two.

Those that want the best of the best can enjoy Coachella’s exclusive dinner series Outstanding In The Field, where top chef’s have created exclusive menus paired with cocktails, beer and wine to really give you one memorable weekend.

While most of the tickets are sold out, there are still a few left, so grab them and experience literal fun in the sun at Coachella.
