Sleep On The Seine At Paris’s First Floating Hotel

by | Dec 20, 2016

There are few things more romantic than a walk along the Paris Seine—unless of course you’re floating right on it. Moored on Paris’ decidedly bohemian Left Bank, OFF Paris Seine is the city’s first hotel and bar on the water—and not just any body of water, but perhaps the most beloved place to drink, stroll, and share a kiss in la Ville Lumière.

A product of the award-winning design duo, Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, the hotel, which resembles a cross between a posh nightclub and luxury yacht, features 54 guest rooms, four suites, and a bar with cocktails and tapas. Constructed from two catamaran-style vessels and shipped down the river, the layout evokes that of Paris itself, with two rows of rooms on either side and an open-air communal space in the center, complete with its own sort of mini Seine: a plunge pool that stretches the entire length of the hotel and blends seamlessly with the river surrounding it.

Like most onboard cabins, OFF’s standard guest quarters err on the cozy side, so if you’re looking for elbow room we suggest upgrading to one of its generously proportioned suites, complete with canopy beds, soaking tubs, and some of the best views on deck.
