The Agency Sponsors The VIP Lounge At The LA Art Show

by | Jan 19, 2017

For the third year in a row, The Agency was proud to be the exclusive sponsor of the VIP Lounge at The LA Art Show, which took place between January 10 and 14 at The Los Angeles Convention Center. One of the country’s most celebrated annual art events, the show, now in its 22nd year, kicked off with a star-studded premiere party hosted by Emma Roberts to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Drawing inspiration from our favorite living rooms, The Agency’s Partner and Founding Member, Paul Lester, teamed up with Meridith Baer Home to present an elegant and eclectic hangout for this year’s VIP Lounge that also served as an exhibition space in its own right. Street artists from across Los Angeles, including booleep, Megzany, Jennifer Korsen, Septerhed, Adam Mars, Jules Muck, Bumblebee Loves You, and Desmond Mason, leant their unique talents and vision to the space, painting large-scale murals on the lounge’s exterior walls live on opening night.

The Agency was also pleased to present two panel discussions for Dialogs LA in conjunction with the show. Moderated by Paul, guest panelists, including noted photographer Jim McHugh and our aforementioned artists, with the addition of Ruben Rojas, Timothy Yarger of TYFA, Mary Ta of MASS Beverly, and Meg Joaniddes of MLK Studio, took part in lively conversations that explored such topics as private home curation and the dynamics between the public art scene in Los Angeles, social media, and the commercialization of art.

“At The Agency, we live and work in the world of art, in the very curation of the homes we bring to market,” Paul reflects. “We pride ourselves on continuing to challenge the de rigeur of the day, pushing the standard of excellence higher, and broadening the dimensions of what it means to be passionate and creative.”

We were honored to be a part of the 2017 LA Art Show and look forward to fostering meaningful connections with the L.A. art community in the months and years ahead.
