Santa Monica Just Got Hotter— Introducing 301 Ocean Avenue

by | Oct 16, 2017

If ever there was a town that embodied the quintessential So Cal beach lifestyle, it’s Santa Monica. With its iconic ferris wheel glowing brightly against the Pacific, the laidback seaside community has long been the gem of the California coast; a city that seems to be in a constant state of reinvention, but always manages to retain the charm at the center of its appeal. With the demand for high-end leases on the rise and inventory at a low, the debut of 301 Ocean Avenue couldn’t have come at a better time for Santa Monica hopefuls looking to soak up the city’s surf and sun.

The newest luxury apartment community to hit the market, 301 Ocean Avenue is situated on the northern end of the street at the intersection of San Vicente. The 24-hour concierge doorman building features 38 newly rebuilt and fully modernized residences—most with spectacular ocean views. Showcasing a wide range of thoughtful studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans, 301 Ocean Avenue offers a host of high-end amenities and a prime location minutes from some of the best beaches, shopping, dining, and fitness offerings on the Westside.

Interiors feature wide plank hardwood floors, quartz countertops, LED lighting, stainless steel GE appliances, full-size washer-dryers, and expansive outdoor terraces. A collection of 18 exclusive penthouse residences offer private ocean-view terraces, many with rooftop decks. The residences are centered around spacious courtyard gardens with a rainforest waterfall and fire pit inspiring community engagement. Additional amenities available to residents include a fitness center, yoga room, and conference space.

At a recent event hosted by The Agency’s David Solomon and Anna Solomon, who represent the offering, guests were treated to a special preview of the newly-unveiled residences. Cocktails and delicious bites by Road 36 were served in the courtyard gardens to a soundtrack by violinist Grace Ann Violin, while attendees explored the residences and mingled around the community firepit. As the sun began its glorious descent into the Pacific, several guests made their way to the penthouses’ expansive rooftop decks to take in the views. View more photos from the event below.

So what is it about Santa Monica that gives it that something special? We have a few ideas.

It’s Got Culture: From the art galleries of Bergamot Station to contemporary dance and theater on the Broad Stage; Third Street Promenade performers and free summer pier concerts, Santa Monica boasts more than just beach culture—it’s a city that supports and celebrates the arts.

It’s Got Hip New Restaurants—and Old Haunts: Santa Monica has an eclectic and elevated food scene with some of the most highly regarded eateries in L.A., not to mention one of the best seafood markets in California—Santa Monica Seafood. From old haunts like Chez Jay and The Galley (complete with the old-timey sawdust floors) to new go-tos like Rustic Canyon, Local, Lunetta, and Cassia, you don’t need to travel far for a first-rate culinary experience.

It’s Got That Iconic View: There are few places in the world where you can surf and sunbathe against a backdrop as iconic as the Santa Monica Pier, complete with that world-renowned ferris wheel, the coast stretching mythically toward Malibu in the distance.

It’s Gone Green: Santa Monica is at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, from its Breeze Bike Share program and bike lanes to its farmers markets, incentivised LEED building codes and Big Blue Bus. And let’s not forget the new Expo Line, which will get you from the galleries at Bergamot Station to the dinosaurs at The Natural History Museum faster than a car in rush hour traffic—and let you read a book while doing it.
