Our picks of places to go and things to do to make the most of your month.

CHECK THIS OUT – Returning to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California for two weekends, this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival features headlining sets by Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala. Gone are the days of mediocre festival food and rickety tent camping: 2019 offers a whole new kind of experience for music lovers with a taste for the finer things in life—from four-course, farm-to-table dinners helmed by celebrated chefs to air-conditioned yurts with nightly turndown service. April 12th-14th & 19th-20th. AND THIS – If you’re feeling a little more country than rock and roll, head to Stagecoach Festival, country music’s answer to Coachella, with a bill that mixes mainstream country stars with up-and-coming Americana artists. Catch headliners Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean, but stick around for off-center indie acts like Dawn Landes, Mecca Mancari and Ruby Boots. April 26th-28th.

PARTY ON HERE – Billed as “the largest and most famous lesbian/queer girl party music festival in the world,” Dinah has been rocking Palm Springs since 1991. Anchored at the Palm Springs Hilton and Palm Springs Convention Center, this year’s event will include celebrity appearances, renowned DJs and poolside performances by Kodie Shane, Leikeli47, Bri Steves, Dorian Electra and more. April 3rd-7th. AND HERE – Widely regarded as the largest gay dance music festival in the nation, White Party draws more than 30,000 attendees from around the world for a weekend of pool parties, costume balls and celebration. April 26th-29th.

SEE THIS – Palm Springs Art Museum presents Unsettled, an expansive exhibition of contemporary art by more than 75 artists living or working in the Greater West. Featuring works by Ed Ruscha, Gerard Murillo and Georgia O’Keefe, the exhibition explores the geography of vast frontiers, looking to the future while honoring the past. From Twitter poems to site-specific installations, the exhibition tells the ever-evolving story of the Greater West through the eyes of its most innovative artists. Through April 30th.

CELEBRATE FASHION – Held at the iconic Riviera Hotel pool in Downtown Palm Springs, Palm Springs Fashion Week brings the most talented designers in festival, swimwear and resort fashion together for three days of fashion shows and presentations. April 11th-13th.

SHOP & SNACK HERE – Every Thursday evening, world-famous Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs transforms into Village Fest, a bustling, pedestrian-friendly street fair with a wide array of artists, artisans, entertainers, food stands and more.  Every Thursday, 6pm to 10pm.
