The Agency Agenda Arizona: What to Do + Where to Go This June

by | May 29, 2019

Our picks of places to go and things to do to make the most of your month in Phoenix and Scottsdale.

CATCH A GAME HERE – It’s no secret Arizona gets… shall we say… toasty in the summertime. Thankfully, there’s plenty of air-conditioned hangouts about town where you can beat the heat and enjoy your favorite summer pastime—our favorite being baseball. June is jam-packed with Diamondbacks games, rendered all the more enjoyable at Chase Field, Downtown Phoenix’s state-of-the-art, indoor ballpark. Watch the D-backs team up against the New York Mets June 1st and 2nd; the Los Angeles Dodgers June 3rd, 4th and 5th; and Colorado Rockies June 18th, 19th and 20th.

COOL OFF HERE – Nothing says summer like an afternoon spent poolside at Shade Lounge Pool, the rooftop pool at the chic W Scottsdale. WET Dayclub brings the party to the rooftop Friday through Sunday all summer long, with a rotating cast of DJs and VIP tables, complete with bottle service, on offer for those seeking the ultimate summer high. AND HERE – You don’t need to travel to Vegas to get the ‘Vegas’ experience—head over to MAYA Day + Nightclub for lively pool parties accompanied by eclectic DJs.

GET YOUR TUBE ON HERE – If you’re looking for a wet, but slightly more wild, alternative to a day by the pool, an afternoon tubing on the Lower Salt River rapids in Tonto National Forest is just the ticket. Salt River Tubing invites thrill-seekers of all ages to enjoy a “floating picnic” with two, three, or five-hour trips along the iconic waterway, complete with tube rentals and shuttle service.

UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY HERE – Gather some friends and enjoy “Scottsdale’s most creative night out” at The Brush Bar. This popular local painting studio encourages patrons to exercise their inner Van Gogh with guided instruction—plus an on-site bar serving beer and wine to help get the creative juices flowing.

ROCK OUT HERE – Former Beatle and all-around music legend Sir Paul McCartney is coming to the Grand Canyon state this month as part of his eagerly anticipated Freshen Up tour. Known for his epic, three-hour-long sets spanning some of the greatest moments from his 50 years in music—including songs from his solo career, Wings, and of course, hits with the Fab Four—the icon will grace the stage of Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix on June 26th for an unforgettable night of music.

GET YOUR COMIC BOOK FIX HERE – Billed as the largest single-day Comic Con experience in Texas, Fanboys Comic Con is coming to Scottsdale this month in celebration of all things fandom. From Star Wars fanatics to Superman obsessives, comic fans from all over are invited to unite and enjoy a vibrant marketplace, show off their products and cosplay June 8th at WestWorld of Scottsdale. The event coincides with Hot Imports Night (HIN), a unique, nationwide automotive festival featuring car competitions, entertainment zones, a DJ battle and more.
