by | Jun 5, 2019

The hills are alive with the sound of music all summer long in Park City. (We couldn’t resist.) From a free outdoor concert series at the base of the mountains to intimate concerts in stunning ranch-inspired venues, here’s The Agency’s guide for a summer that’s sure to bring music to your ears.

DEER VALLEY RESORT
– Deer Valley offers not one, but three summer concert series and festivals, some of which are free to attend. A weekly community favorite, the Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series at Deer Valley Resort takes place at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheatre on Wednesdays from June 19th to August 23rd (with the exception of July 3rd). The free series features some of Utah’s finest musicians, and guests may bring picnic baskets, spirits and blankets. Also coming to the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheatre is the Deer Valley Concert Series, featuring such acclaimed artists as Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Ziggy Marley. Tickets range from $42 for the General Admission Lawn to $115 for Reserved Seating. Finally, the Deer Valley Music Festival, held at Snow Park and St. Mary of the Assumption church, features eight weeks of Utah Symphony performances, with the 2019 summer line up including Film in Concert events, featured soloists and much more.

CANYONS VILLAGE – Musical acts from across the country take the stage for free weekly Canyons Village Summer Concert Series, held every Thursday and Saturday from July 6th through August 29th, with the exception of July 11th and 13th. Surrounded by picturesque mountain views, each event offers family-friendly activities, with blankets and picnic baskets welcome (though leave the canine family members at home).

DEJORIA CENTER – An incredible destination at the base of the Uinta mountain range, the DeJoria Center is a world-class venue with a scenic, small-town feel, located on the High Star Ranch in Kamas, just 16 miles from Park City. Boasting a blend of “rustic charm and modern sophistication,” the concert venue features a free summer concert series Thursday evenings, as well as other featured artists for a summer calendar chock full of entertainment. (No outside food or alcohol permitted.)

RED BUTTE GARDENS – One of Utah’s best outdoor music venues, Red Butte Gardens, the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West, is situated on 100 acres on the eastern edge of the University of Utah campus. Its outdoor summer concert series features an incredible mix of talent from the Utah Symphony to Seal, Lyle Lovett, Steve Miller Band and more. Bring your own food, beverage and picnic gear, or purchase onsite while enjoying sweeping mountain views and the solid summer lineup.
