Showcasing their painting, caulking and roofing skills, The Agency’s Beverly Hills agents and staff recently clocked in 140 volunteer hours to help build ten three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in Culver City for families in need as part of our partnership with Giveback Homes.

Giveback Homes is an organization comprised of real estate professionals who help fund and build homes for families and individuals around the globe, from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago and Houston to villages in Nicaragua. Since its founding in 2013, the organization has mobilized teams of volunteer homebuilders and spearheaded fundraising events to support the construction of permanent housing for those in need.
On July 18, agents and staff from the Beverly Hills office got hands-on at a Giveback Homes Build Day event, helping construct homes for several families with special needs. Among them, a U.S. veteran and his seven-year-old son, whose new home was specially designed with accessibility in mind, as the single father and his son both have disabilities that have made it challenging to find a residence that meets their respective needs. Their home will be move-in ready by the end of the year.
Accessibility was also top of mind for another Giveback Homes recipient, a single mother of three with a 16-year-old son who uses a wheelchair and has faced numerous mobility challenges in their current home. Giveback Homes partnered with Habitat for Humanity to craft a suitable space for this family.

It is always a rewarding experience” says Mauricio. “I’m so proud to see our team out here helping build homes for two families. It lifts my heart, and I know it means so much to the recipients.”
