Where to Say “I Do” in Arizona

by | Aug 21, 2019

A memorable day calls for a stellar venue, and these five spots in Arizona promise to make any desert wedding bloom. Whether you and your partner are drawn to secret gardens, a romantic ranch or a red rocks backdrop, Arizona has something for every couple.

WINDMILL WINERY – Natural beauty abounds at Windmill Winery in Phoenix, which is known for its Zinfandels and cabernets as well as its gorgeous ceremony and reception spaces, which include a 100-year-old barn and Hamptons-style lake house. The 5,000-square-foot Big Barn offers a cozy, Western vibe, while the lake house is a peaceful waterfront venue with a pier perfect for trading vows and toasting with cocktails.

SECRET GARDEN – Set on 300 acres at the base of South Mountain in Phoenix, the Secret Garden Event Center is comprised of eight event areas, which can host groups of many sizes. For a larger affair, an open-air ceremony with up to 300 guests can fit under the property’s shady Mesquite Tree, or opt for the indoor Traditions Pavilion for 200 guests. The quaint, 85-year-old Carriage House is ideal for cozier events and can house up to 60 attendees.

THE FARM AT SOUTH MOUNTAIN – Featuring two rustic outdoor venues—The Canopy at the Grove and Stone Grove—The Farm at South Mountain in Phoenix blends European-style romance with naturalistic, garden beauty. The property’s setting is truly transportive, with a shady grove of pecan trees, grassy expanses, colorful flowers and plenty of enchanting rustic elegance. The Canopy spans 2,400 square feet, and can host groups anywhere from 50 to 250, while Stone Grove is spacious enough to accommodate 300+ guests.

SKY RANCH LODGE – Sedona’s Sky Ranch Lodge offers two open-air ceremony and reception venues that provide unparalleled views of the region’s world-famous red rocks. For events up to 150 guests, choose The Lookout, which will deliver dramatic panoramic views—especially at sunset. The Over The Bridge space is a slightly less formal extension of The Lookout and is  perfect for up to 100 guests, and formal receptions of up to 75 guests.

EL CHURRO – Poised against a photogenic backdrop of Camelback and Mummy Mountains, this Paradise Valley venue’s four event options range from the cozy Casa Paloma and intimate 60-guest Herb Garden to the 5,800 square-foot Event Lawn with a full stage area.
