A memorable day calls for a stellar venue, and these nine spots in and around Palm Springs promise to make any desert wedding bloom. Whether you and your partner are drawn to all things quirky, Old Hollywood charm or something totally modern, Palm Springs has something for every couple.

DESERT WILLOW GOLF RESORT – A true desert oasis, the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert offers a lush backdrop of rolling greens, sparkling lakes and spectacular mountain vistas. The resort has more than 33,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including the Lakeview Terrace for larger affairs up to 300, the Palm Desert Terrace for gatherings up to 140 and picturesque Event Lawn for parties up to 300.

LA QUINTA RESORT – Spread over 45 beautifully manicured acres at the foot of the Santa Rosa mountains, the La Quinta Resort offers several settings for the big day. Hold the ceremony and reception on one of the resort’s lawns—just imagine the clear, starry skies—or take the festivities inside to the resort’s grand, historic ballroom.

SPENCER’S – Spencer’s comes with a bit of a legacy—this venue in the Historic Tennis Club district was a regular hangout for Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Zsa Zsa Gabor. The 85-year-old property can host up to 200 guests. Ceremonies are held on the scenic cacti and greenery-rich lawns, which offer views of the San Jacinto Mountains on one side and a panoramic view of palm trees on the other side. The Bougainvillea Room is ideal for an unforgettable reception—built into the mountainside, it features a large waterfall, fireplace, and sweeping views of the mountains.

AVALON PALM SPRINGS – From small, simple ceremonies to larger, more extravagant affairs, Avalon has a space for every kind of celebration. Choose from poolside cabanas, a chandelier-lit ballroom, lush bougainvillea-filled garden courtyards and more. A selection of Avalon’s spaces can handle up to 170 guests.

JW MARRIOTT DESERT SPRINGS RESORT & SPA – With more than 37 event rooms and cool perks—would you like to arrive to your ceremony on a gondola?—this resort has plenty of memorable indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from. Among the most picturesque is The Pointe, situated over water with a mountain backdrop—ideal for sunset ceremonies.

THE LIVING DESERT ZOO & GARDENS – Offering six ceremony sites and seven reception venues, this legendary Coachella Valley venue promises a totally unique experience. The lush, private Palm Garden Patio, for example, is filled with more than 50 species of palms, while Savannah’s Landing offers stellar views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. No matter which spot you pick, be sure to have cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Giraffe Platform, where you and your guests can get an up-close visit from one of the stunningly spotted residents.

THE SANDS HOTEL AND SPA – Graphic prints, bright colors and cool decorative details—every bit of this hip, Martyn Lawrence Bullard-designed hotel is incredibly Instagrammable, making it a perfectly photogenic location for a hip ceremony and reception. Choose the Olive Grove for a larger party (up to 180 guests) or the poolside Cabanas for a more intimate affair (up to 32 guests).

THE CHATEAU AT LAKE LA QUINTA – This 24-room boutique hotel boasts a gorgeous, palm tree bordered manmade lake, complete with an eye-catching fountain. It’s a fabulous backdrop for a ceremony. Plus, lakeside spaces can be illuminated with string lights after sunset for a chic, open-air reception.

OLD POLO ESTATE – Set on five acres and boasting lush expanses of lawn, a pool and plenty of mature palms, the Old Polo Estate is ideal to accommodate up to 300 guests and offers fun amenities like a three-hole golf course and a 1,500-square-foot pool.
