End of Summer Adventures in Orange County

by | Sep 4, 2019

Summer is winding down, but there’s still time to savor the season. From street festivals to craft fairs here are four of our favorite end-of-summer activities in Orange County.

KNOTT’S BERRY FARM – Now is the perfect time to spend a day at Knott’s—with school back in session, the crowds will be smaller and the lines for rides shorter. Plus, the much-beloved Knott’s Scary Farm kicks off September 19, promising haunted mazes, dramatic shows and more than 1,000 creepy creatures around the park—it’s the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit.

FIESTAS PATRIAS FESTIVAL AND PARADE – September 14 and 15 from noon to 10pm, head to 602 N Flower Street in Santa Ana for the Fiestas Patrias Festival and Parade, which offers delicious food, carnival rides, games and colorful art and culture exhibits. Don’t miss the traditional El Grito Ceremony, which will be led by the Mexican Consulate on Saturday night.

OLD WORLD OKTOBERFEST – Since 1978, The Olde World Restaurant in Huntington Beach has hosted a world-famous Oktoberfest celebration with authentic bratwurst, imported beers, German bands and more. Make time to stop in between September 8 and November 3 for all of the above, plus fun events like Trivia Night and Dachshund Races.

ANAHEIM CRAFT & VINTAGE FAIR – In the market for some cool new crafts, or just some good inspo? Stop by the daylong Anaheim Craft & Vintage Fair at the Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church at N. West Street in Anaheim. Starting at 11am and running until 4pm on September 21, the event features a number of local artisans with unique creations and delicious food.
