The Agency Agenda Pasadena: What to Do + Where to Go this November

by | Oct 23, 2019

Our picks of places to go and things to do to make the most of your month in and around Pasadena.

GET AHEAD ON YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING HERE – Get a head start this holiday season and peruse potential gifts at the Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair. It takes place Saturday November 16 and 17 from 10am-4pm in Old Pasadena’s Central Park. Browse indie goods from over 200 makers and leave with all kinds of loot—from unique fashion and jewelry to fun art and home decor.

CHEER ON ATHLETES HERE – Stop by the second annual Pasadena Adaptive Sports Festival at Brookside Park on November 9 to show support for community members who are new to wheelchair sports. This free event introduces adaptive sports to children and veterans who have been recently injured as well as others with disabilities.

DO THE DOO HERE – Affectionately known as the “twisted sister” of the historic Rose Parade, the Occasional Pasadena Doo Dah Parade will take place on Sunday November 24. It first began in 1978 and soon gained national attention for its eccentric take on traditional parades—the event’s entry form encourages “homemade conveyances, mutant carts and walkers.” The alternative parade concept has sparked several copycats around the nation, was named by Readers Digest as “America’s Best Parade” and was recently featured in the book 50 Places You Must Visit Before You Die.

FIND UNIQUE GIFTS HERE – Done doling out gift cards for the holidays? Make time to go to the Hilton Pasadena November 8-10 for the Pasadena Arts & Crafts Show, where you can browse 25,000 square feet of artisan goods from hundreds of local vendors. You’ll find something for even the pickiest people on your list. Did we mention there’s complimentary food and wine tastings daily? See you there.
