SEE THESE SITES - A rocky outcropping on the northern edge of Pasadena, the Eagle Rock Historical Landmark is so named for the shadow it casts—at some points in the day, it resembles the bird in mid-flight. For a super short, scenic hike, set out on Eagle Rock Canyon Trail, a one-mile loop suitable for all skill levels. If you’re looking for a bit of horticultural inspo, stop by the Pasadena Community Gardens on South Pasadena Avenue. This garden encourages residents to plant and maintain vegetables, fruits and flowers. The garden offers educational opportunities as well—check in with the on-site team to learn about sustainable, eco-friendly gardening and preservation from local experts.

SHOP HERE - Charming and scenic, the South Lake Avenue Business District boasts a range of shopping, dining and professional services over a dozen city blocks. Swing by The Shops on Lake Avenue to scope out department stores, boutiques, restaurants and more.

KICK BACK IN THESE PARKS - South Arroyo is full of paradisiacal parks. Singer Park on the corner of California and St. John Avenue is shaded by mature trees and offers a children’s play area, open grassy spaces and nicely maintained flower beds. San Rafael Park on Colorado and Melrose is a cute neighborhood spot with picnic facilities, playground equipment and benches.

GRAB A MEAL HERE -Imbue some posh British tradition into your Pasadena experience with afternoon tea at the Rose Tree Cottage—the English garden-themed bistro offers three seatings at 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm Tuesday through Sunday. Don’t forget an order of fresh-baked scones. Live piano adds to the cool atmosphere of Stoney Point Bar and Grill, located across the Colorado Street Bridge and in the San Rafael area. Did someone say “house-made pasta”? We’re in. Luciano's Ristorante on California Boulevard provides ultra-fresh Italian fare in a very casual setting. Order whatever is written on the ever-changing blackboard of daily specials in addition to the Rigatoni Ala Luciano, Baked Mostaccioli and anything else that you might want to enjoy as leftovers.

PERFECT YOUR SWING HERE - Whether you’re a first-timer or (nearly) a pro, Arroyo Seco Golf Course is sure to strike your fancy. The driving range is invigorating, the mini-golf is a blast and the scenic course is a great way to spend an afternoon.

HAVE A SPA DAY HERE - In the mood for some self-care? Book one of the specialized Shiatsu or Chinese Tuina massages at Pasadena Day Spa on E. Green Street. These therapies are designed to improve energy (Qi) flow and relieve stress. For extra pampering, add on a soothing Royal CBD hemp oil treatment.
