The Agency Daily

The Agency's Mauricio Umansky gave Giuliana Rancic of E! News a tour of The Agency's listing at 100 N. Carolwood Dr. last Thursday. The 17,000-square foot grand estate, located in prestigious Holmby Hills and listed for $23.9 million, is garnering considerable media attention around the world as pop icon Michael Jackson's last residence.

The E! cameras followed Mauricio and Giuliana throughout the home and its lush landscaped surroundings, showing television viewers such highlights as its grand movie theater for screenings and the charming (and large) kitchen, which Mauricio admits is his favorite room in the 7 bedroom/13 bath (and 12 fireplaces) home.

While the Richard Landry-designed French Chateau estate is noteworthy on its own, Mauricio knows

When we first featured 431 Howland Canal on The Agency blog, we noted its steps-away proximity to Abbot Kinney Boulevard's collection of fashionable boutiques, great eateries and numerous art galleries, all situated in a laid back setting that only Venice Beach can offer.

Well, GQ has taken notice of what locals have long known (and perhaps wanted to keep their own little secret), declaring Abbot Kinney Boulevard "The Coolest Block in America."

"Just about everything in GQ's Style Bible (plus delicious cocktails and a swim) can be had on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice California," says the magazine (view article here). The following is an article by Billy Rose that appears in the March 2012 issue of L.A. Confidential.

I am often asked how to achieve the highest sales price in today’s market. My answer: It’s all about Presentation, Pricing and Strategy.

Presentation:  Your home is seen for the first time only once. Make it count. Bring in a painter and/or handyman and make the home look well tended. Remember, most buyers don’t have vision, so if the house is vacant, or the furnishings are a terrible mishmash, consider good staging.

Pricing:  In addition to making your home look good, pricing needs to be consistent with reality in order to keep

We already knew our Blue Hole Bay listing was a one-of-a-kind property in the Bahamas with its sparkling, turquoise waters and white sand beach wrapping around Dean's Blue Hole – the deepest undersea cave in the world. But recent discoveries by marine biologists suggest that it may be even more extraordinary in that it, along with other blue holes in the Bahamas, may hold clues to how life evolved here on Earth.

Marine biologist Tom Iliffe and his colleagues from Texas A&M studied three blue holes in the Bahamas and discovered that each had significantly different microbes living in them from the others. As points out: "The fact that each cave has different conditions from the others and thus a different palette of life helps scientists
