by | Apr 26, 2022

Spring is in full swing—and so are The Agency’s media headlines. Jumping into the season with exciting listings, global expansion and industry insight, there wasn’t a dull moment at The Agency this month as the team gleaned attention from Entrepreneur, Fox Business, Mansion Global, Barron’s and The Real Deal. So, grab a cup of coffee and take a moment to peruse our hottest headlines of the month (they won’t disappoint).

National

Read Entrepreneur’s new contributor article by The Agency’s Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky: “5 Tips to Perfect Your Elevator Pitch.” Mauricio’s key tips for a stellar elevator pitch include accessing your audience and perfecting your value proposition.

In a new Mansion Global article, Ashleigh Fredrickson of The Agency Denver and Bradley Wolf of The Agency Hall & Hunter in Birmingham, Michigan discuss how waiving contingencies can make buyers more competitive in the face of all-cash offers. “Competition breeds creativity when it comes to buyers writing an offer. In a perfect world, we’d love to see buyers include contingencies on all offers,” Brad told the publication. “But…now they have to make their offers more competitive.”

Lights, camera, action! Neil Cavuto of Fox Business interviewed Mauricio on the current housing market, touching on various factors, including the continued strong demand for luxury properties, the country’s hottest markets and the challenges first-time homebuyers are facing.

Canada

Mauricio also appeared on Global News Canada‘s The Morning Show, where he discussed the Canadian housing market and The Agency’s expansion into the country with five franchise offices opening this year alone—including The Agency Brantford.

Read RealTrends’ exclusive feature highlighting The Agency’s 33rd franchise office location in Brantford, Ontario, which launched in partnership with Chris Costabile, Courtney Costabile, Katia Bailey and Steve Bailey.

Northern California

NECN interviewed The Agency’s Estates Agent, Keri White, as their Weekly Resident Real Estate Expert, garnering her advice on when buyers should increase their maximum budget when house-hunting and common mistakes they often make when trying to buy a home that is over-budget.

Europe

Long live the tennis court! In a new article, UK-based publication Homes & Gardens spoke with a selection of real estate experts including Gideon Lang-Laddie of The Agency about the enduring appeal of tennis courts as an amenity, which “can easily be multi-purpose, and offer tennis, basketball, soccer and other uses,” Gideon told the magazine.

The Netherlands

Karina Nipperus‘s new listing was featured in Cottages & Gardens this month. Owned by actress Camilla Braaksma and located in the heart of Amsterdam, this unique property currently operates as a bed and breakfast and sits at the tip of the city’s stunning Oosterpark.

South Florida

Daniel Tzinker’s extraordinary Penthouse 00 made headlines in Mansion Global. The epitome of elevated luxury, the home offers 8,700 square feet of indoor-outdoor living across two levels, paired with Armani/Casa’s resort-style amenities, including a private restaurant, gym, spa, movie theater and much more.

Santiago Arana and Mauricio launched The Agency Bal Harbour! This exciting expansion was highlighted in The Real Deal. The 2,200-square-foot space is located at 9564 Harding Avenue in Surfside. Congratulations to The Agency community on this next chapter in Florida.

D.C. Metro

Nurit Coombe made the cover of North Bethesda Neighbors Magazine and was featured in an article on business leadership in the issue.

Hawaii

If you want to see Hawaii perfection, take a look at Ruthie Kaminskas’s new listing, the Spalding House, which Barron’s recently shone a spotlight on. Perched above Honolulu on 3.44 acres of land with views of Diamond Head and city lights below, this extraordinary home is an ideal gallery setting for a private art collection or could be restored to its former state as a grand private residence.
