The Agency is pleased to announce that veteran industry leader Daniel Hershkowitz has joined us as Senior Director of Risk Management. With over two decades of real estate experience and an impressive background in real estate law and litigation, Dan recently departed a leadership position at Compass, where he worked as the Director of Risk Management for the last five years.

In his new leadership position at The Agency, Dan will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management for The Agency’s offices, agents, and sales leadership across California with an initial focus on Northern California, San Diego, Orange County and the Coachella Valley. Dan will leverage his years of thought leadership and expertise to provide strategic guidance and oversight on risk mitigation, develop and lead training initiatives, and provide direct transactional support.
As a real estate broker and real estate attorney with 25 continuous years in the business, Dan previously served as Director of Risk Management for Compass – Northern California, where he spearheaded their agent training and development. Prior to this, he served as the Broker of Record and Managing Broker at Vanguard Properties. Dan is active in the real estate community serving on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Realtors, as well as serving as the Past President of the San Francisco Association of Realtors. Dan has been instrumental in drafting and revising the industry standard transaction forms used throughout the State. He is a past Chairman of both his local San Francisco standard forms committee, and also the Statewide (C.A.R.) standard forms committee.
