March Hot Headlines: The Agency’s Leading Stories

by | Mar 29, 2022

Good thing we have an extra hour of daylight, because The Agency team has been working around the clock behind the scenes, launching new offices, listing new estates and bringing the press along for the ride. Take a look at some of last month’s lead stories.

Global

Mauricio Umansky — The Agency’s Founder and CEO recently spoke with Robb Report about findings in The Agency Red Paper and the rise of the $100 million home. “Ultrahigh net-worth individuals have been defined so far as those with $30 million or more—to me, that’s the wrong conversation now,” he said, also noting that these buyers are opting out of custom builds given supply chain constraints, opting instead for the convenience of turnkey estates.

SoCal

The New York Post highlighted 15659 Knochaven Street, a stunning mid-century modern in Canyon Country owned by Dallas star Linda Gray. The Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actress gives a personal tour of this rustic retreat. Billy Rose, Natasha Sizlo, and Andrea Korchek hold the listing.

Mansion Global featured a Pacific Palisades estate listed by Zac Mostame and Santiago Arana. “The most valuable feature about this property is its location,” Santiago notes. Listed at $29.995 million, it occupies one of only 12 lots on a cliffside street in the prestigious Huntington Palisades community and offers 6,673 square feet of living space, including six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, and a chef’s kitchen as well as unobstructed ocean views. 1024 Summit Drive earned a three-page cover story in the San Francisco Chronicle. Listed by Adi Perez, this Beverly Hills estate designed by noted midcentury architect William S. Beckett boasts exquisite finishes, breathtaking views and unrivaled artistry.

NorCal

SF Gate’s SFiS Homes celebrated The Agency’s storied decade in NorCal. Highlighting some of the top listings in and around the Bay Area, this feature nestled in the San Francisco Chronicle, notes The Agency’s boutique white-glove level of service, including the unique collaboration among agents and the company’s in-house Relocation Department.

Florida

Go-to real estate news source Inman exclusively announced The Agency’s latest franchise office in Naples, Florida. Led by Chris Resop and Kara Resop, Blair Chang and LeAnne Thrasher-Chang, Glenn Shimkus and Shantel Shimkus, this marked the 29th franchise office in the growing network across the globe.

Chris Resop of The Agency Naples offered Mansion Global expert insight on the incoming wave of buyers to Florida from other popular zero-income-tax markets, including Houston, Las Vegas and Nashville. Resop knows that these newcomers’ interests extend far beyond the favorable taxes. “They have vacationed here and seen how much the area has to offer,” he explains. Once they sample the weather, beaches, restaurants and shopping, it’s just a matter of time until they make the move.

Las Vegas

Zar Zanganeh, Managing Partner of The Agency Las Vegas, appeared in The Wall Street Journal  and Mansion Global in an article announcing the listing of Michael Jackson’s former Las Vegas home. Zanganeh had represented Jackson when he leased the property in 2006 for $50,000 per month.

 Aspen

Heather Sinclair‘s $17 million equestrian estate in Aspen lovingly known as the Red Barn was featured in Robb Report. The article notes that in addition to the many amenities for future residents, the property’s real highlights include luxury horse facilities that include a 41-stall barn, heated 80,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor arena, four bathing stables, six tack rooms, a heated vet stall and several plush lounges for viewing events.

Turks & Caicos

Robb Report rounded up a dozen luxe homes with basketball courts, including Wymara Villa 5105. Listed by The Agency’s Brendan O’Neill, Sean O’Neill and Ian Hurdle, this residence at Wymara Turks & Caicos Hotel on Grace Bay features a full-size tennis and basketball court overlooking the ocean.

Ottawa

Read the Inman exclusive announcing the launch of The Agency’s 30th franchise office in Ottawa, led by Maxime Damour, Irina Popova and Greg Campbell. “The firm’s unparalleled marketing power, technology offerings and global brand recognition are unlike any other brokerage in Canada,” says Damour.

Muskoka

As noted in The Luxury Chronicle, The Agency continued expanding, announcing the 31st franchise office in Muskoka, which Executive Vice President of Franchise Sales Jim Ramsay calls the “crown jewel of high-end real estate in Canada.” The office will be led by esteemed brokers Steve Bailey and Katia Bailey
