Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin finally sold their TriBeCa penthouse. After over a year of trying, they found an unknown buyer to take the apartment off their hands.

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin originally purchased the pristine apartment for $5.6 million in 2007.

The two made many renovations to the 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom penthouse, pairing with famed designer for the stars, Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors.

After a rocky 2014, in which the couple divorced, or in their own words “consciously uncoupled,” the couple put the penthouse up for sale in 2016 for a whopping $14.3 million.

That number would continue to drop until the couple decided to pull the apartment from listings. Then, in February 2017, the couple decided to try their luck again and put the gorgeous 3,900 square foot loft up for sale for $10 million, a big discount from their original asking price of $14.3 million.
Less than two weeks later, an unknown buyer purchased the Washington Street apartment for $10 million.

Among the numerous renovations, Paltrow and Martin added a brand new sofa swing for the children. “We wanted to go with this sort of romantic, playful vibe and Gwyneth thought of this swing where she could sit and relax with her kids,” said Robin Standefer, who headed the renovations.
In an attempt to get some buyers, Paltrow gave a virtual tour of the penthouse on her lifestyle website Goop.com, discussing the many personal touches that she and Martin added. Of the extended foyer, Standefer said, “We wanted to make the foyer this long, great room, what you’d find in a proper English home with that classical round table”.
