From record sales to new listings and landmark office debuts, August was a busy month for The Agency. All eyes were on our A-List team of agents (and clients) as they made remarkable real estate moves around the globe. Here are some of the month’s hottest headlines that made waves.

848 HOT SPRINGS ROAD - This Spanish palace-inspired villa in Montecito got a nod from Forbes, which spotlighted the 11,947-square-foot mansion and its style, which “recalls another time and place, like a Moorish monarch’s palace from the 13th century (except situated on a picturesque hillside in affluent Montecito).” The property, Forbes writes, is “like a mirage, it arouses double-takes.”  Billy Rose, who represents the home, described its eclectic style to Robb Report

In honor of 3250 Serra Road’s market debut, agents Sandro Dazzan and Cooper Mount hosted a summer soirée at the sprawling Malibu estate, which boasts five acres of incredible European-style gardens nestled in Malibu’s exclusive hilltop Serra Retreat. The property boasts blossoming Monet-inspired lily ponds, 17th-century stone architectural elements, rose gardens, an organic vegetable garden and fruit orchard, all laced with walking paths and dotted with ornate fountains.

Guests arrived at the 7,814-square-foot home through 24-hour, guarded gates and were greeted at the top of the stone-walled driveway with new wheels from Galpin Aston Martin. As they toured the lush grounds, attendees were handed chilled glasses of sparkling rosé from Malibu Rocky

Deftly executed by Vitus Mataré & Associates, the five-bedroom, four-bath Malibu home, offered at $6,995,000, typifies the architecture that has made the design firm so celebrated in California’s beach communities.

Represented by The Agency’s Brian Linder, AIA, and William Baker the newly built home was recently selected to be showcased on the prestigious Dwell on Design home tour. Taking place on October 20th, the self-guided tour, sponsored in part by The Agency, will feature five Malibu residences, hand-picked by Dwell’s team of architecture and design experts, to represent “west

The Agency family, Malibu locals and countless Hollywood celebs took to the coast Labor Day Weekend to celebrate one of the beach hamlet’s most beloved summer traditions—and unexpectedly cool events—the annual Malibu Chili Cook-Off.

Now in its 37th year, the Cook-Off, hosted by Boys & Girls Club of Malibu (BGCM) and sponsored in part by The Agency’s Paul Lester, Sandro Dazzan and Aileen Comora, is the largest community event in the ‘Bu. The trio sponsored the event alongside Malibu-based designer and builder Scott Gillen, founder of Unvarnished and creator of The New Castle, an unprecedented property in the heart of Malibu— the first of 12 architecturally significant residences to debut in The Malibu Series.

Stretching for 21 miles along the Pacific Ocean, Malibu has long been considered the crown jewel of the California coast; a venerable playground for the country’s wealthiest celebrities, entertainment execs and business moguls alike—but perhaps never has the beloved seaside hamlet sparkled more brightly. A host of recent record-breaking home sales and unprecedented new real estate offerings have drawn overwhelming interest in the oceanside enclave—and The Agency is making quite a splash.

“A door has opened up with these recent sales that has given greater value [to Malibu real estate] than we have seen in the past,” The Agency’s Paul Lester recently told The Hollywood Reporter, adding “Now, more than ever, buyers are

When London-born agent Gideon Lang-Laddie, a self-proclaimed classic car enthusiast and proud owner of a 1977 Morgan Roadster, asked if we’d like to tag along on a driving tour of L.A.’s prized real estate, we jumped at the opportunity to snag a spot in the passenger’s seat.

Joining Gideon on the joyride was his dear friend Charles Morgan, grandson of the Morgan Motor Company’s founder H.F.S. Morgan. On a sunny fall morning, Gideon and Charles met at The Agency’s Beverly Hills headquarters in their respective rides to caravan to two of our most coveted luxury listings. From the Beverly Hills flats through the neighborhood’s undulating hills—past many an ogling tour bus along the way—the pair arrived at their first stop, 9719 Heather Road.
