The Agency Awarded Eight Hermes Creative Awards

by | May 10, 2021

The Agency is proud to be a recipient of eight Hermes Creative Awards, which recognize outstanding work within the public relations and marketing disciplines. Each year, judges evaluate the creative industry’s best of the best, with The Agency taking top honors for its inaugural annual report, media placements, and publicity campaigns. The awards further highlight and showcase the strength of the dedicated marketing team, as well as our bi-coastal public relations team.

Here’s where we stood out as creative leaders, bringing ideas to life through traditional and digital platforms.

Platinum Award | Annual Report

Unveiled in January 2021, our annual report, The Red Paper, received a Platinum Award for its deep dive into our real estate markets across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The Red Paper reveals record-level activity across North America, despite the global rise of COVID-19, and significant trends that will impact the market for years to come.

The Agency team prepared the detailed report internally by conducting hours of interviews with agents around the world and working with the research team to mine the data that is relevant to agents and their clients. The publication gained traction in top-tier outlets including Forbes, Mansion Global, Inman, Livabl, and many more.

Platinum Award | Online Placement

The Agency’s online placement in The New York Times for the article “House Hunting in Mexico: A 19th-Century Courthouse Turned Hacienda” won a Platinum Award. Appearing both in print and online, the article features two of The Agency’s listings and clients in La Paz, Mexico and explores the idea that the seaside city is being positioned as an alternative to other bustling beachside destinations. It offers a relaxed way of living and some of the most stunning landscapes and aquatic adventures in the world.

Gold Award | Publication Article

The article “The Rise Of The 21st Century Real Estate Agent On Social Media” was featured in Worth Magazine, winning a Gold Award. In it, Mauricio Umansky explores what it is like to be a 21st-century real estate agent and how COVID-19 impacted the industry.

Gold Award | Newspaper Article

A Gold Award-winner, The Wall Street Journal article “In the Caribbean and Bahamas, Turnkey Properties Are the Biggest Luxury” had many eyes on it, appearing both online and print as the front cover of the weekly Mansion section, highlighting The Agency’s listings, clients, and head of the Turks & Caicos office, Ian Hurdle. The article explores the desire for luxury buyers seeking turnkey properties for their vacation destination homes.

Gold Award | Online Placement

The article “The Agency’s Founder & CEO Mauricio Umansky Talks Luxury, Real Estate Moving Into 2021,” which ran in Forbes, received a Gold Award. Following the unveiling of The Agency’s annual report, The Red Paper, Mauricio spoke with Forbes regarding the findings of the report, including the real estate market in the year ahead.

Gold Award | Publicity Campaign

The Agency received a Gold Award for the public relations campaign around the listing of Matt Damon’s Pacific Palisades home, represented by Eric Haskell. The Agency’s Public Relations team developed a media relations campaign surrounding the sale of the property, leveraging long-standing relationships with the press. The result was a comprehensive campaign that produced far-reaching results both domestically and internationally across various publications focused on luxury lifestyle, real estate, and design, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Insider, DuJour, The Los Angeles Times, Robb Report, Realtor.com, People Magazine, Architectural Digest, Evening Standard, and RealEstate.com.au.

Honorable Mention | Online Placement

The Agency’s Public Relations Director, Laura Corrigan, created a partnership with Robb Report’s print and social media team for a weekly Instagram takeover series, Robb Report Home Tours, which won Honorable Mention. In this weekly series, listing agents take over the Robb Report Instagram account and give the publication’s 198K followers an inside tour of an outstanding property, providing great content for them to leverage on their website. This unique opportunity allows the publication and their audience to step inside a home, while giving agents the ability to showcase a listing to a broader group via social media and a traditional online news piece. In the inaugural episode of Robb Report Home Tours, James Harris of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles took Robb Report inside a Bel Air home listed for just under $17 million. Read the article, “Home Tours: Inside a $17 Million Mansion With an 800-Gallon Aquarium,” which received honorable mention for online placement.

Honorable Mention | Publicity Campaign

The public relations campaign for The Agency’s new New Canaan office launch received Honorable Mention. The Agency’s Public Relations Team developed and executed a thoughtful media relations campaign to announce and establish its brokerage franchise in New Canaan, Connecticut—a new market for the firm on the East Coast. By fostering relationships with key local media and positioning the managing brokers as experts on a national scale, The Agency Public Relations team executed a successful campaign that resulted in numerous press placements in local and national publications focused on real estate, business and luxury lifestyle, including CT Post, Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time, New Haven Register, Opera News, The Hour, The Middleton Press, New Canaan Advertiser, News Times, The Register Citizen, The Darien Times, The Trumbull Times, Westchester & Fairfield County Business Journal, Commercial Record, Homes & Gardens, Real Homes, Barron’s, and Mansion Global.
