The Agency Paints The Big Apple Red at Inman Connect New York

by | May 2, 2022

The Agency team recently joined brokers, executives, tech and finance professionals, entrepreneurs and investors from around the globe at Inman Connect New York, a three-day event at the New York Hilton Midtown. Several of The Agency’s executives and agents served as speakers and featured panelists. In addition to the team’s professional presence, The Agency was thrilled to debut show stopping digital ads that appeared several stories high in Times Square—see the video below for a closer look. As a sponsor of the event, The Agency also directed a full lobby takeover—complete with rotating door signs—and hosted a private evening cocktail hour at The Moxy, with views of the Empire State Building.

In a special session called “The Rise of the Next Generation Buyer: What Do They Want and Need?” The Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky joined Sean Black, CEO of homeownership startup, Knock, to discuss the next phase of the transaction revolution, key traits of the next generation of home buyers and sellers and how technology will facilitate the way they buy and sell homes.

The Agency’s Matt Lionetti, a leading content creator and social media influencer with more than 49,000 Instagram followers (@matt.lionetti), led an event outlining “The Power of Personality and Social Credibility.” Additionally, The Agency’s Director of Luxury Estates, Tracy McLaughlin, lent her expertise to “The Biggest Opportunities and Challenges Facing Agents in the Current Market,” a tactical session where Tracy discussed the current market, what’s to come and strategies for future-proofing your business for potential market shifts. In “How to Stay One Step Ahead,” top-producing agent Santiago Arana shared insight on how he has been navigating the current real estate landscape while remaining a reliable resource to his clients. Later in the week, in a special Meet the Leaders event, The Agency President Rainy Hake Austin fielded questions from attendees on “How to Navigate an Unpredictable Market.”

Throughout the week, agents enjoyed plenty of networking opportunities and only-in-New-York experiences—including a glamorous, The Agency-sponsored gathering with drinks, light bites, music and dancing on the rooftop of The Moxy Times Square. Against a backdrop of sparkling city lights, guests sipped on specialty cocktails and enjoyed a special modern-meets-classic performance by New York City ballet dancers.

While our team ended Inman Connect on a high note, we’ll be back soon for an encore—The Agency will soon debut its first-ever office in New York City. Follow @theagencynewyork to get all the latest updates.
