The Elbertson is a landmark, Neo Georgian style brick building and it is located in America's original master planned Garden community, Jackson Heights Queens. Built between 1936 and 1937 by the Cohn Brothers it incorporated fluted pilasters, arches and flanking windows, all which were typical of the later part of this now historic sector. Being a condominium in a neighborhood known for cooperatives and located within the Historic District, this building is indeed a rare find. This is a commuters paradise, being centrally located and within walking distance to 74th street / Roosevelt 7, E, F, R and M trains as well as the Victor A Moore Bus Terminal. You will find hundreds of ethnically diversed restaurants on 37th Avenue and on Northern Blvd and you will find yourself in what many have written as the multicultural Mecca of America and some will argue, the planet. The Elbertson is two blocks away from the city's 2nd largest Halloween, gay and other parades as well as minutes to LaGuardia airport and Flushing Meadows Corona Park. It's location, diversity and relatively low cost of living has not gone unnoticed. Rents increased faster than any other area of Queens as of May 2015 and Condominium prices are expected to reach new heights due to its anemic inventories.
